Allan Neal Atkins

Allan "Neal" Atkins, 74, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. Neal was a lover of all nature and animal life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shooting pool, gardening and farming, horse racing and watching Louisville Cardinals Athletics.

He was born on November 22, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Marvin and Loretta (Banet) Atkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Dean Atkins. Neal is survived by his sister, Brenda (Michael) Jones, along with his son, Jeffery (Lee Ann) Atkins; son, Scott (Erin) Atkins; daughter, Tamara Lee Atkins; son, Christopher Atkins; grandchildren, 12; Phillip, Devin, and Jenna; Simon and Elston; Kaylee, Tyla and Kyle; Sydney, Chance, Dylan and Ania; and great-granddaughter, Luna.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the funeral home with burial at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Neal's memory be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
