Allan Louise Anderson passed peacefully at Norton Pavilion Hospital. Our Heavenly Father took her home on the morning of Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the age of 81.
She was born to Grace Harris Baker and Rev. James Allan Baker on November 9, 1940 at Louisville City Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Preceding her in death were her parents. Grace Harris Baker and Rev. James Allan Baker, her husband James Horace Anderson, and her son Lawrence I. Rice Jr. on February 14, 1987 she married James Horace Anderson.
Allan Louise began her Christian walk as a child at her father's church still known as Burnett Avenue Baptist Church. Allan was ill as a child which kept her bed ridden. She used her time at home to cultivate her artistic talent for drawing. After overcoming her illness she graduated from Central High School in 1958. That same year she was crowned as the first black Kentucky Derby Queen (1958). She started working at UPS as a PDX operator and later moved into an office position by the time she retired.
Allan Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter Grace V. Rice, stepson Quincy (Kandice) L. White Sr.; grandchildren, Christian Rice, Lachelle Rice, QuinTanay Smith, Quincy L. White Jr., 14 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives, honorary relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
