Alise Elizabeth (Hauber) Martin, 77, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a former parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany. Alise retired from the Kroger Co., enjoyed reading, and was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan.
Alise was born on May 14, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gilbert J. and Eleanora E. (Beuther) Hauber. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gale J. Martin; son, Joseph Hunn; siblings, Charles Hauber and Mary Frances Horlander.
She is survived by her children, Mary Heeke (Tim), Chuck Hunn (Diana), David Hunn, Gail Noble (Doug), Lee Martin (Nan); grandchildren, Bryan, Sara, Jeremy, Benjamin, Brooke, Bridgett, Brandon; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
