Alicia Williams, 71 years old. Born to the late, Bernard P. Williams, Sr. & Maline Williams- Young on November 23, 1950. She was a graduate of Louisville Male High School and retired from the Census Bureau of Indiana. Alicia has always had a tremendous work ethic. She was not afraid to pick up a hammer or a paint brush. She helped build four homes with Habitat for Humanity. Alicia was a "daredevil", she rode and owned a motorcycle, shot guns, and fished better than most men. She loved sports and playing cards. But mostly, she loved her Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. Alicia was also a "girlie girl". She was a true "shop-a-holic", even though she shopped for others more than herself.
Alicia never pretended, and she made no excuses. She loved and cherished her family and it showed. Also, preceding her in death were her three brothers, Kenneth, Martin, and Raymund Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are brothers Richard (Sandra) Bland, Bernard P. (Brenda) Williams Jr., Dwight, Eric, Michael, and Marcel (Devrah) Williams; sisters Valencia (Marcellous) Byrd and Anita (Rodney) Gilkey. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Special thanks to her nieces, Regina Williams and Elana Nance who handled Alicia's affairs.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the kindness extended to Alicia. The visits to the nursing home, the food, the flowers and cards, but mostly the prayers. May God Grace your lives as Alicia has graced ours.
