Alice Mae (Bowling) Woodruff, 88, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Atkins Chapel UMC in Floyds Knobs.
She was born on July 7, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky to Paul and Lilly (Norman) Bowling. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodruff, Sr.; and siblings, William Bowling and Evelyn Franz.
Alice is survived by her children, Charles "Eddie" Woodruff, Jr. (Deanna), Richard Woodruff, Kathryn Shirley (Dale); grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Ally, Shelby; and great-grandchildren, Everly, Emmett and Everett.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alice's memory may be made to Honor Flight Bluegrass (PO Box 991264, Louisville, KY 40269).
