Alice C.(Lickteig) Lally

Alice C. (Lickteig) Lally, 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was a member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany. Alice was a former teacher at Jefferson State Vocational School. She enjoyed playing bingo and bunco, but the most important thing in her life was family.

Alice was born on March 18, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence C. and Mildred (Higgins) Lickteig. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Lally; daughter, Teresa Koetter; siblings, Elaine Erwin, Vivian Seng, Ruth Schley, Joseph and Clarence Lickteig.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Pat Pierce), Edmond "Ed" (Phil Dinkins), and Kevin Lally (Faye); daughters, Sharon Jenkins and Karen Pritchett (Scott); and 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
