Alfred Seewer Jr.

Alfred Seewer, Jr., 89, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Alfred was a hardworking man. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and watching NASCAR racing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was born on November 21, 1933, in Stanford, Kentucky, to Alfred and Lena (Ullmann) Seewer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Edwin, Alvin, Arnold, Harry, Oscar, and Julius Seewer.

Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Mildred J. Seewer; sons, David L. (Sonya) Seewer, Dennis R. (Mary) Seewer, and Steven J. (Pam) Seewer; 7 grandchildren, Angela (deceased), Josh, Tyler, Kayden, Alicia, Damon, and Stephanie; 7 great-grandchildren, Avery, Aiden, Ella, Rowan, Jonah, Ford, and Georgie; brother, Herman (Jeanette) Seewer; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Cremations (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
