Alfred Russell Eures

Alfred Russell Eures, 84, passed away on July 19, 2013. He retired after a long and distinguished career as a construction superintendent. Russ was a member of the Omar Shrine Temple in Charleston, South Carolina, the Kosair Shrine Temple, Moose Lodge 1757, the American Legion Post 35 Bonnie Sloan, and the VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach.
Russ was born on February 24, 1929 in Sebring, Florida to the late Robert F. and Daisy (Rivers) Eures. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Nelson) Eures; and son, Russell N. Eures.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Ervin) Eures; daughters, Christine Jarrell (Pat), Debbie Hennessy (Billy), Natasha Graham (Jeremy); five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 3 PM to 4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service at 4 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Dorchester Memorial Gardens in Summerville, South Carolina.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church (1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
