Rutter, Alberta "Bertie" Waddell
79 years old, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Baptist Health Hospital.
She was a member of St. Boniface and St. Joseph's Catholic Churches for many years. She found joy in freelance writing, acting, and volunteering at Actor's Theatre and the Kentucky Center for the Arts, as well as spending time with her family. She held memberships in the Kentucky Pen Women, the American Legion Post 217, and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was known as Mom to all in her family. Bertie will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry Rutter.
She is preceded in death by parents Albert and Lily Waddell, and her son Donald Lee Hall, Jr. She is survived by daughters Theresa Greenfield (Ronnie), Kimberly Evans (Phil), and Ronda Rutter, and grandchildren Adina, Matti, and Sam Greenfield, Laura Ziegler (Joshua), and Rachel Hall, Sydney and Ellie Evans, great grandchild Destin Greenfield (Kayla), and great great grandchild Gracie Greenfield.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 3pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:30am.
