Alberta Beard

Alberta Scott "Scottie" Beard, of Louisville, went Home to her Heavenly Father, August 27, 2012. She was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church and a past employee of The Hat Box, Bycks, and Markdowns of St. Matthews. She was a women's clothing aficionado, always dressing her customers in the latest styles. She was also a great animal lover.

Scottie is survived by her husband, Dave Beard; her daughter, Sharon Hoellman (Joe); granddaughter, Kim Hoellman; sisters, Vernetta Giesler and Beverly Bryan (Harry).

Funeral ceremony will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012, 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00-7:30 pm. Online condolences may be made at www.newcomerlouisville.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beechwood Baptist Church.
