Albert K. Lewis Obituary
Albert K. Lewis (78) passed away March 8, 2013 at home after a long battle with diabetes. He was born July 23, 1934 in Louisville, KY to Albert Lewis and Beulah E. Pruitt. After Albert graduated from Louisville Male High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and became a mechanic. He spent most of his four years of military service in Korea.
Upon his return to the states, he continued his education in mechanics and retired from the U.S. Post Office as an automotive analyst. Albert had many talents and interests. He was an accomplished musician on the guitar and played trumpet and piano as well. Albert was a 33rd degree Mason and belonged to Duvall Lodge #6. He was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Shreveport, La. where he lived for 35 years of his life. Hobbies he enjoyed included golf, fishing and cooking and he created many original recipes for delicious cakes. However, the most important thing to know about Albert is that he was a Christian and loved the LORD.
Albert was preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth Lewis and William Schell. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Sharon and his sister, Ima Lewis Johns. Others who loved him include his niece, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family extends a special thank you to Imogene Morrow, care giver and Hospice of Nelson County. Expressions of sympathy go to Nelson Christian Church or Hospice of Nelson County. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at Nelson Christian Church.
