He was born on December 9, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Elaine (Longshore) Lloyd.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Robert Hancock Lloyd, Mother, Elaine Lloyd, Brother, Michael Lloyd, and Son, Matthew Lloyd.
Alan is survived by his loving Wife of 15 years, Mary Beth (Brewer) Lloyd, Son, Sean Alan (Cara) Lloyd, Son, Logan Taylor (Megan) Lloyd, Step-Daughter, Mary Ann (Steve) Glaser, Step-Son, Stephen Matthew Gering, Step-Mother, Ethel Lloyd, Sister, Stacie (Bill) Kamman, Step-Sister, Sharon (Thomas) Stivers, Step-Sister, Ellen (Mike) Trabue, Grandmother to Sean and Logan Lloyd, Mary Lou (Don) Finley, Mother to Sean and Logan Lloyd, Julie (Dean) Doak, Grandson, Aiden, Granddaughters, Lucy, Madilyn, and Sadie.
Alan was a loving husband, father, brother, and stepbrother. He adored his four grandchildren who affectionately called him papa. He was a great easy-going soul who loved the UL Cardinals, grilling out, and listening to rock and roll, especially the band Rush.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, at Newcomer Funeral Home - 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, KY, 40243.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hosparus Health.
