Adam Alvino Austin

Adam Alvino Austin, 18, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Adam recently completed his High School studies and was ecstatic that he had passed his driver's test. He was able to get a taste of the freedom all young men dream of with the purchase of his first car. He was a sneaker head and obsessed with style. He enjoyed the lake, riding four wheelers, and spending time with his friends. Adam was a natural athlete and excelled at many sports throughout his life.

He was born on June 30, 2004, in Lagrange, Kentucky, to Adam Austin and Lauraine Kurnaz. He is preceded in death by his father, Adam Austin; and his aunt, Jackie Hayes.

Adam is survived by his parents, Lauraine (Kurnaz) Kelly and Chris Kelly, Sara Austin, and Travis Slaughter; his siblings, Jayden Austin, Cody Hayes, Rachael Austin, and Ashley Slaughter; his grandparents, Ronda (Jam Jam) Turner, Larry and Carolyn Jones, and Butch and Debbie Hayes.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Visitation will continue on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service taking place at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen by the family.

The family requests that everyone come to remember Adam and share stories of his antics. Also, please dress causally and comfortably, as Adam would have preferred.
