Bishop James B, Youngblood completed his journey to Heaven on Tuesday morning October 18, 2011. His ministry with the Church of God impacted thousands of lives throughout the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana between the years of 1941 and 2011.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Arthur Youngblood and Lelia Levada Brown; brothers Clifford, Arthur Lee and Lewis, sister Levada Holder; his wife of 65 years Maxine Clements; and his second wife of 3 years Elizabeth Hill.
He is survived by three sons, Bishop Samuel (Ruth) Morristown, TN; Douglas (Shirley) Louisville, KY; John (Deborah) Hebron, KY; and one daughter Rebecca McLain (Wayne) Jacksonville, FL; one brother Horace and one sister Mary Holder; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
All Visitation will be at the church.
We will celebrate his life at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 22, at the Outer Loop Church of God, 6901 Outer Loop, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday, October 21, from 4:00-7:00PM, and Saturday, October 22, from 9:00-10:00AM. Graveside Service at 3:30PM, Resthaven Cemetery, Corbin, KY.
