Jennifer Franklin Adrio, age 62 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, June 7th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 2, 1961, in Hannibal Missouri. Jennifer attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a degree in business administration. She spent most of her career in the non-profit sector, with Louisville United Way and the American Red Cross. Jennifer had great success and served in various leadership positions for over 25 years. She led with a huge heart, impacted several regions, and created teams to serve the needs of countless communities across the country. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Franklin; her sister, Angela (James) Orris; and son Cole Adrio.
Jennifer enjoyed traveling, and appreciated the outdoors, hiking, running and all things to do with the sun, the sand, and the sea. She loved to experience fine dining and was an avid foodie. She loved her family fiercely and was known affectionately to her grandchildren as Gigi. Everyone who met her was touched by her kindness, spirit and humor. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and colleagues.
Jennifer is survived in death by her mother, Joyce Franklin; her son, Brayden Adrio; brother, John (Kelli) Franklin; brother-in-law, James (Angela) Orris; nieces, Alisa Orris and Chelsea Wagoner; nephews, Chase Williams, Jackson Franklin and Mason Franklin; grandchildren, Atlas Adrio and Freya Adrio; along with many close friends and family.
Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Jennifer's life will follow at the funeral home at 2pm.
Jennifer's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
