Christina Louise Smith

Christina Louise Smith, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Christina courageously fought breast cancer for two years. Throughout her battle, she never lost her ability to laugh or smile. During her courageous battle, Louis Southern took care of her and remained by her side. Christina had an infectious laughter, and this world is a much lesser place without her. She was a bad ass rebel like her mother. Everyone who knew Christina loved her. She will be deeply missed by anyone who had the honor of knowing her. The hearts of her mother, bubby, Brian Scott Smith, Louis Southern and her family are forever broken.

She was born on December 23, 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roger and Delores (Jones) Smith. She is preceded in death by her father, Roger Smith; and aunts, Priscilla Hubbard and Debbie Adkins.

Christina is survived by her loving family, mother, Delores Smith; brother, Brian Scott "Bubby" Smith; significant other, Louis Southern; her "awesome cat", L.B.; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Christina will be laid to rest privately at Louisville Memorial Gardens West at a later date.

The family requests that contributions in Christina's memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel.
