William Neil Gross 82, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 5, 1941 and was adopted months later by his parents, William and Augadine Gross. Bill is also preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Gross, daughter, Misty Gross and his son, Christen Gross.
In 1977, Bill founded his company, Gross Diamond Centers and grew the business to include numerous locations throughout Kentuckiana. Bill was a member of many jewelry related organizations and was highly regarded by his peers in the jewelry business.
Bill was a member of the Clarksville, Indiana Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and cared deeply for the members and thought of them as family. Especially, Shirley Inman who he thought of as a mother figure.
Bill is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Tammy Wilkerson Gross, his son, Mark Gross, his daughter-in-law, Vanessa Gross, and grandsons, Kaiden Gross and Mason Gross. Bill is also survived by his brother, Marshall Griffin (Tammy), numerous family members and countless friends. Fur babies, Maxie, Luna, Izzy, Barbie and Nellie, who will miss their nightly ice cream that Bill would share with them.
Visitation will be Sunday November 19, 2023 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive, Middletown, KY and will continue beginning at 10:00am on Monday November 20, 2023 then at 12:00pm Bill's Memorial Service will begin with Burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Bill's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
