Kathy Ellen Williams

Kathy Ellen Williams, age 63, was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky on December 9,1959. She passed away in her home on September 5, 2023. Kathy loved many cats over the years, and nothing could sway her from cheering for the University of Louisville Cards. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting activities and school events. Kathy loved her family endlessly and fully. Kathy also loved to laugh, tell jokes, and play pranks. She was very kind-hearted and loved by everyone... she never met a stranger. Many people would refer to her as their second momma. Kathy also had immeasurable faith and was considered an asset to her church community. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Mathis.

Kathy is survived by her dad, Tommy Mathis, son, Chris Marshall (Shannon); sister, Cindy King (Dennis); brothers, Jerry Scruggs and Jimmy Scruggs; grandchildren, Lillie Marshall and Macade Marshall; nieces and nephews, Sarah King (Brittany), Jake King (Emily), Jeremy Scruggs (Torie), Nick Scruggs (Misty), Stephanie Worrall (Brennan), and Becky Bruce. Kathy also had numerous great nieces and nephews; and is survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 followed by a celebration of Kat's life at 5pm.
