James (Jim) Richard Clark, age 84 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Baptist East Hospital. Jim was born to James Alvin & Irene Corley Clark of Louisville, KY. He grew up in the Crescent Hill area of Louisville and attended Atherton High School. Jim went on to join the Army National Guard, before coming home to attend Ahrens Trade School and married the love of his life, Carol Lee Fust. Jim worked for Sypris Solutions, formerly known as Tube Turns of Louisville for 50 years. Jim was a long time member of Middletown United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Corley Clark and father, James Alvin Clark; and sister, Delores Clark.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Clark; three children, Denise Olver (Bob Olver), James Douglas Clark (Tiffany Clark), and Jennifer Deanne Dibble (Patrick Dibble); 9 grandchildren, Christian Clark (Andrea), Connor Clark, Daniel Olver (Kelsee), Colin Olver, Caleb Clark, Alex Miller, Garrett Olver, Nicholas Miller, Samuel Clark; 3 step-grandchildren, Jenna Beam (Chris), Madison Dibble, and Nathan Eldridge; 3 great-grandchildren, Isla Olver, Hudson & Emery Beam; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Jim's life will begin with 10am visitation and service at 11am on Friday, July 28th at Middletown United Methodist Church 11902 Old Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243.
The family would like any memorials to be made to the National Kidney Foundation @Kidney.org., or the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist East Hospital.
