Kevin Devine

July 17, 1956 — April 20, 2023

Kevin Devine, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

He was born on July 17, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Kenneth Devine and Patricia (Lenahan) Devine. He is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Linda Devine and grandson, Kenneth Devine.

Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was adored by everyone in his circle of family and friends.

No matter how he was feeling, his face would light up when he saw a loved one and would usually leave them laughing! He wasn't an attention seeker, but people gravitated toward him wherever he was, and he ended up being the center of attention anyway! Even animals were attracted to him.

Kevin was the kind of person who would give you his last dollar or the shirt off his back, or split his last bit of food with you. He never put himself first, but always thought of everyone else ahead of himself. If he saw anyone in need, he didn't hesitate to offer any assistance he could.

Kevin was proud member of the IBEW Local 369 union and spent his life working as an electrician. He was a perfectionist and would never settle for less than his best work.

He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Many lifelong friendships were made during his time in the trade and his membership with the Eagles, and all of these people meant the world to him.
Kevin was a member of Southeast Christian Church, where he volunteered as a greeter, making everyone who came though his door feel welcome. He also met some very kind and loving friends through church.

He was so brave right up to the end, when God finally decided to take him home and ease his suffering. He is in heaven now, in the arms of his savior Jesus and reunited with loved ones who preceded him there.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Deborah Gayle Devine, son, Adam Devine, daughter, Amanda Riddle (Paul), and son, Jay Scott, four grandchildren, Lexi Riddle, Jack Riddle, Kevin Devine and Allen Devine. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Devine (Ronda) and sister, Kathleen Nix.
