Terry Wayne Cheek

Terry Wayne Cheek, 73, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023. Terry enjoyed working on electronics, particularly old televisions, radios, and Edison Victrolas. He also enjoyed astronomy and owned several telescopes with which to view the night skies. Terry also loved to travel. He and Becky made many trips to Kaua'i, Hawaii, over the years. Above all, Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was born on February 22, 1949, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Hubert and Norma (Keeton) Cheek. He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Harell; father, Hubert Cheek; and second mother, Maxine Cheek.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca "Becky" Cheek; daughter, Allison (Ismael Radilla) Cheek; son, Adam (Apple Cherry) Cheek; granddaughter, Eliza Fae Radilla; grandson, Ivan Alexander Cheek; granddaughter, Irhen Vhain Mirador Cheek; sister, Connie Moser; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.

The family requests that contributions in Terry's memory be made to the American Diabetes Association (161 St Matthews Ave., #3, Louisville, KY 40207).
