Laura Anne Kirby, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 26, 2023, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Laura was born on August 18, 1965, in New Albany, Indiana, to Bill Kirby and Victoria (Nein) Peters. Laura was a registered nurse and received her BSN from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Healthcare Management from Webster University. Laura retired from Renown Health in Reno, Nevada, where she held the position of Vice President of IT Applications. She previously worked at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the University of Maryland Medical System, the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, and Humana in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Kirby.
Laura is survived by her mother, Victoria Peters (Gary); brother, David Kirby (Christi); sister, Lisa Heiser (Tom); nieces, Meagan Thurmond (Will), Olivia Lynch (Nick), Emma Kirby, and Hilary Heiser; nephews, Jake Kirby (Elizabeth) and Jackson Heiser.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, 40243). A celebration of Laura's life will be held Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus Health in Louisville, Kentucky.
