William Randolph Wolfe

Wm. Randy Wolfe, Sr., born to Wm. H. (Sib) and Frances Wolfe in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, on January 19, 1953, passed from this life and entered into Paradise on December 29, 2022. He was 69 years old.

He leaves behind his beloved family: wife, Jean Wolfe; two children Wm. Randy Wolfe, Jr. (Allison), and Samantha Scalf (Joshua); granddaughter, Brecke Wolfe; sister, Nancy Cottrell (Norm) and her daughter, his niece, Elizabeth Clifford.

He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Wolfe; and his parents.

Randy was a devoted Christian, his faith demonstrated in every aspect of his life. He was a man of strength and integrity, not lacking in any skill. He enjoyed working with his hands, from farming fields, framing barns, and downing trees, to building lakes--always helping others more than himself. Even into the last few months of his life, you'd see him hard at work, helping his son working in the fields and sawing up lumber for his daughter and son in-law's home projects. His love was unwavering and always demonstrated in his hard labor.

Some of Randy's favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and friends, playing Euchre and Pinochle, or listening to '60s rock classics.

Randy's spirit will be missed here on earth, but his family rests assured that he has found peace and comfort with the Lord, reunited with son, Robert.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, and from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Randy will be buried next to his son and parents in the Galena Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Randy's memory be made to Galena M.E. Cemetery Association of Galena, Indiana (5620 First Cross Street, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
