Wilma "Sue" Beebe, age 74, went to be with her Savior, on November 4, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1948, in York, South Carolina, to the late George Raymond Boheler, Sr. and Madge Wilma (Hopper) Boheler. Sue was married to her loving husband, Robert E. Beebe (Bob) for 55 years.
Sue walked with God very closely and shared His love with so many. She made prayer such a priority in her life. She would ask to pray with people who came to visit, including her medical staff. When she paid her bills by phone she would even ask to have prayer with the billing reps she spoke to, in an attempt to brighten their day. However, the most precious memories of her prayer times is when she would reveal to her children, "I prayed for you so much during the night last night."
She loved to tell others of the love of Jesus. When someone was hurting and needing encouragement, she would always offer her words of "this too shall pass."
Sue dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and soon to be great-grandchild.
Sue loved to read her Bible and had several favorite verses. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 31:28 "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." The verse that comforted her most in her last few weeks was Matthew 28:20 "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert E. Beebe (Bob), her children, Lisa Howell (Jamie), Lora Bentley, Robert D. Beebe (A'Linda), and Leah Swartz (Gary). She is beloved Meema to Tiffany Basham (Lee), Krista and Kyle Bentley, Austin, Cameron (Claudia), Juliana, and Victoria Beebe, Landon, Lawson, and Lacey Swartz, and soon to be great grandchild, Baby Basham. She will also be missed by her sister, Karen Anderson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Minor (Al) and her brother George Boheler, Jr.
Sue was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Fairdale, Kentucky.
