Irene Elizabeth (Hubler) Board

Irene Elizabeth (Hubler) Board, 88, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Irene was a member of the Homemakers Association and the Washington County Pilot Association. She loved cooking and spending time with family, especially all of her grandchildren.

She was born on October 5, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late William and Monae (Weatherholt) Hubler. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Board; daughter, Linda Behr; son, William Board; granddaughter, Melissa Dunaway; brothers, Emmett and Wilbert J. Hubler; and sisters, Wilma Reynolds and Ethel Rowe.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Gary) Gilley; daughter, Susan Board; grandchildren, Russell Behr, Dustin Behr, Stephen Behr, Ashley Gilley, Brooklyn LaPlant, and Kerry-Sue Board; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Evans Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth.
