Shirley Ann Lorie, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
She was born on February 23, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Richard and Katherine (Sutton) Heim. She is also preceded in death by her son, Anthony "Tony" Lorie and brother Richard Heim, Jr.
She was a 1965 graduate of Ursaline Academy, she then worked for awhile at the BellSouth Communications. In 1983, Shirley and Marvin started Lories Package Liquors, where they owned and operated for 21 years. She was a avid Louisville Cardinal Fan, loved margaritas, taking cruises, listening to Elvis and building jigsaw puzzles. Shirley was the rock and foundation for her family, she was selfless in every way always putting her family first.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Marvin E. Lorie, daughter, Kimberly Bushnell (Rick Stevens), grandchildren, Destiny Smith (Joe), Dakota Lorie, Dominic Lorie, Haley Stevens, Noah Bushnell, Addison Lorie, two great-grandchildren, Lila Lorie and River Smith. She is also survived by her brother, William Heim (Kaye), sister-in-law, Sheila Heim and her beloved Pugsley.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 with a service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). The family would like to invite everyone to wear Shirley's favorite color purple for her services.
