Donald E. Whitmer

Donald E. Whitmer, 63, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. Donnie was a supervisor at Corro-Flo Engineering for many years. He later went on to work for over 20 years at Ford Motor Company until his retirement. He was a diehard UK and Miami Dolphins fan and loved to bowl. Donnie was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed ATV trail-riding and hunting. Donnie also had a passion for Texas Hold'Em and sleight of hand magic.

He was born on December 12, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Jesse Whitmer, Sr., and Mary (Ashcraft) Whitmer.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Robin (House) Whitmer; son, Nicholas (Anna) Whitmer; brother, Jesse Whitmer, Jr.; sister, Sharon Rodgers; and his grandpup, Sedona.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
