Sandra Laverne Caldwell, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Sandra was born on August 6, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William and Edna (Guest) Briscoe. Sandra loved her family and friends. She adored her two sons, Maurice and Bernard.
Sandra attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School, Jackson Junior High School, and Louisville Male High School. She was employed by the University of Louisville Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician.
Sandra loved fellowship with her family and was known for her fondness of talking. At family gatherings, she loved playing Monopoly. It never bothered her if we played for HOURS--she played to WIN!
Sandra never met a stranger and was often seen talking to everyone with enthusiasm and with that BEAUTIFUL SMILE! Sandra LOVED the Lord and NEVER COMPLAINED about her circumstances! She reminded us to always keep God FIRST and NEVER lose Faith!!!
Sandra is preceded in death by her father, William A. Briscoe, Sr.; mother, Edna P. Briscoe; sister, Phyllis M. Taylor; sister, Martha Briscoe; and nephew, Steven E. Murrell.
Sandra leaves her sons, Maurice L. Caldwell, Sr., and Bernard E. (Regina) Caldwell; grandson, Maurice L. Caldwell, Jr.; granddaughter, Marissa R. Pinotti; great-grandson, Nathan M. Caldwell; brother, William A. (Gayle) Briscoe, Jr.; niece, Sharon E. (Marcus) Workman; great-niece, Tori M. Johnson; and a host of family and friends.
Sandra was LOVED and will be MISSED by many!
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Bates Memorial Baptist Church (620 Lampton Street, Louisville, KY 40203).
