Carl M Allen

Carl Marvin Allen, 87, of Mt Washington, Ky passed away on Sunday August 21, 2022, his beloved wife of 65 years by his side.
He served in the United States Army until 1955. He married Alice in 1956 and together they raised four sons. He later retired from the United States Post Office as Postmaster of New Albany, Indiana.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to spend time outdoors. He also loved cooking, laughing, and telling jokes and spending time with his wife and family and many adoring beagles throughout the years.
Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by his wife Alice; sons Jay, Kevin, and Brian (Sue); grandchildren Jennifer Meredith (Kyle), Matthew Allen (Brittany), Joshua Allen, Nicole Allen and Christian Allen; and great grand children Trinity, Connor, Cole, Oliver and Tristan. He is preceded in death by his son Mark Allen and sister Patricia Bryant.
There will be a graveside service with military honors held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160) at 1:30pm.
