Amy Marie Griggs, age 50 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Amy had unlimited kindness and goodness, which she generously shared with her friends and family. Amy studied archeology at Transylvania University and worked for a short time as a field archaeologist. After meeting and falling in love with her husband (Stacy) of 28 years, Amy and Stacy moved to Wilmington, Delaware, and started a family. Amy focused on building a home and raising their children, Abigail (24) and Tyler (22). Fourteen years ago, the Griggs family returned to Kentucky and purchased a little farm outside of Simpsonville. Amy loved the farm and Simpsonville, where she became involved in the community via the Simpsonville Baptist Church (where she led the women's ministry for several years) and the Simpsonville Fire Department Auxiliary, among other groups. Due to Amy's failing health, Amy and Stacy moved to Lake Forest last year, where they were openly embraced by a loving community of new friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Woodrow & Mary Moore, Haskell and Alma Crask; uncles, Jimmy Crask and Austin Henson; and aunts, Carol Huckleberry, Joyce Dauenhauer, Nancy Henson and Michelle Brown; and Stacy's parents, Jerry and Sandy Griggs.
Amy will be remembered by all with love and will be missed greatly.
Amy is survived by her husband, Stacy; her children, Abigail and Tyler; parents, Richard and Marie Moore; brother, Scott Moore (Teresa); aunts & uncles, Judy Huckleberry (Dennis), Bob Moore (Pattie), Woody Moore (Judie), Ronnie Huckleberry, Linda Crask & Larry Dauenhauer; and step-mother-in-law, Elaine Griggs; and a host of relatives and friends.
