Lindsay Branham Scott

August 8, 1989 — August 2, 2022

Lindsay Branham Scott 32, of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. She was born August 8, 1989, to Earl and Shannon Scott.

Lindsay loved being a mom to her precious son Calvin. Nothing made her happier than spending time playing with Calvin, Elizabeth and Lincoln, her brother Wally's children. CiCi as she was called by Elizabeth and Lincoln, was a bright light for them. When they were coming to our house to spend the night the first thing they would ask was, "Is CiCi and Calvin there?"

Lindsay just had a special knack with children. She had taught gymnastics to children, been a preschool teacher and a private nanny to her beloved Elijah Coomer. When Calvin came along, she and Jonathon wanted her to be a full-time mom to Calvin, her dream job. From the moment Calvin woke up until he went to bed, he was her focus. She had a love for him bigger than life itself, a love she showed by sharing her passion for teaching, playing, traveling and nurturing her little boy every moment they were together.

Lindsay adored children so it is no surprise she was an ardent fan of Mary Poppins and all things Disney. She could always be found watching one of her favorite sitcoms like The Dick Van Dyke Show or I Love Lucy or reading about strong women she admired like Michelle Obama and Princess Diana. Lindsay had a love for animals and always had one of the family's cats in her lap. She had an unparalleled sense of fashion and design, always looking as graceful as ever, anywhere she went.

Lindsay was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Wally Scott.

Lindsay is survived by her precious son, Calvin Walter Scott Blum, her devastated parents, Earl W. and Shannon Dale Scott, brother, Logan Scott; niece, Elizabeth Scott; nephew, Lincoln Scott; cousins, Michael, Allison, and Jason Frazure, Melissa and Zoey Yount; partner, Jonathon Blum and her beloved friends, Daniel Gilberts, Donna Le, Derek Brightwell and Ian Reisert.

Her life was celebrated in a private memorial on August 8, 2022, which would have been her 33rd birthday.

Lindsay will be forever missed by her family and friends. She was such a shining star to so many people.
