Rosemary Wood, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
She was born on January 28, 1941 in Bay St Louis, Mississippi to Clarence and Rosalie (Ladner) Saucier. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wood, and siblings, Edna Walker, Helen Weber and Clarence Saucier, Jr.
Rosemary was a big New Orleans Saints Fan! She loved to dance, dressing up for all occasions, the Kentucky Derby and her Louisville Cardinals. Her family was the most important aspect of her life. Rosemary will always be remembered for having fun and living her life to the fullest!
Rosemary is survived by her loving children, Daphne (Vance) Fox, Sherry (Matthew) Cabral, Lorrie (Kevin Shively) Wilson and Craig Wilson, grandchildren, Heather, Andrew, Jedidiah, Jena, Cody and Colin, great grandchildren, Natalie, Jony, Saul, Violet, Isa, Zaya, Zoey and Finnley, her siblings, Thelma Smoot, Douglas (JoAnne) Saucier, Virginia Wilson, and Eileen (Richard ) Perez, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Rosemary's memory be made to VFW Post 2921 (2902 7th Street Rd, Louisville KY 40216).
