Wanda Jean Green, born on August 3rd, 1946 in Coral Ridge KY, was born to Tolbert Lilburn Allen and Thelma Louise Dezern. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1956. She then continued to live a life dedicated to serving Jehovah. She graduated from Fairdale High School in 1964. She worked at Shackelton's Music Store, then married Nick Green in 1965. She then became a Secretary for Green Construction Company, and a wonderful Homemaker, Mother and Grandmother. Her laugh was infectious and she was known for how she made others feel. She lit up a room with her presence. As much as she loved to laugh and be silly, she was also a very deep soul with a sensitive heart. She was a very compassionate and understanding woman. She always had something positive and wise to say, to encourage and uplift those who were suffering. Most of all she was a woman of extraordinary faith, who built her life around upholding bible truths and principles. She went to sleep on August 7th, 2022.
She is survived by her husband, William N. Green, and on August 26th they would have been married for 58 years; 2 Children, Joshua Green ( Kelly) & Stacey Green ( Josh ); 4 Grandchildren, Elaina Hughes ( Tanner), Avery Green, Dominick Petroski & Dylan Petroski; 3 Siblings, Roger Allen (Sharon), Georgia Hurst ( Joe), Sandra Gann ( Gary). She was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Taylor (Joe); also, the Papaw that all the nieces and nephews knew growing up, her step Dad, Zoltan Papp. He has 2 sons. James Papp ( Ethel) & Robert Papp/ deceased ( Phyllis).
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday August 13th at the Middletown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9910 Whipps Mill Road, Louisville, KY 40223
