James Lee Davenport

James Lee "Jimmy" Davenport, 67, of Louisville, KY, passed away on August 4, 2022. He enjoyed going to the boat, Churchill Downs and was an avid UK fan. Jimmy had a sentimental heart and would give you the shirt off of his back. He enjoyed living life and especially his family; they meant the world to him. Jimmy will be truly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cristian Dawn Tuson; brothers, Freddy Davenport and Tony Davenport and his parents, John and Betty Davenport.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories his brother, Mike (Judy) Davenport; sisters, DeeDee Miller, Sandy (Michael) Dorsey and Melody Davenport and Carol "Sissy" (Terry) McClain and grandchildren, Cody Tuson, Caleb Tuson, Tayla Tuson and Devon Tuson.

Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Jimmy's life will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the funeral home beginning at 12pm.
