Glenda Faye Witherspoon

October 23, 1962 — April 13, 2022

Glenda Faye Witherspoon was born in Louisville, KY on October 23, 1962 to the late Anna and Leroy Hopson. She was one of eight Brothers and Sister.

Glenda was a very good athlete when she had her physical ability. She played basketball at Fairdale High School, as a point guard. She loved watching basketball and football with her husband Anthony.

She enjoyed foremost was cooking for her husband and friends at her Pioneer School. Early in the mornings before Field Service she would prepare breakfast for everyone until she couldn't do it any longer. Second to doing that she really enjoyed commenting and would become sad if she couldn't because she knew it was the only thing left, of her physical ability, she had left to offer of herself to her husband and her friends. She exhausted herself doing research with her husband's help asking how does this sound. Her God came first in her life. Before watching T.V. She along with her husband they would prepare their lessons for the meetings first. They would prepare for Pioneer School and he would be the house holder. They would have so much fun together late at night, and when she couldn't sleep from worrying about her condition Anthony would read the Bible to her until she fell off to sleep.

But know this Friends: Glenda wants you to know, "I Love You all Downtown East, West, and all my Pioneer School friends. I'll be seeing you all soon in God's New World." Yours Truly, Glenda Faye Witherspoon.

Revelations 21:4-5, "He Will Wipe Out Every Tear From Their Eyes, And Death Will be No More, Neither Will Morning Nor Outcry, Nor Pain, Be Any More. The Former Things Have Passed Away. Look I Am Making All Things New, Write For These Words Are Faithful And True."

Glenda dedicated her life to serve Jehovah and was Baptized in July 5, 1988 and was well known for her very deep love for Jehovah and for her family, both spiritually, and biologically. She was also known for her poetic way of writing, as well as teaching, at Day Care Centers, but foremost about her God Jehovah. So much so that she vowed to do it full time. So from September 1, 1998 to the day of her demise on April 14, 2022. We can all agree, that she kept her vow to the end, or as Jesus said at (Matt 24:13) She "Endured to the End."

Glenda leaves behind to cherish her memory her dear and loving husband of 27 year, Anthony Witherspoon, who stood, layed and sat by her side to the bitter end of her sickness. Also her loving Brothers: Darryl (Wanda) Hopson, Dennis, Deandre, Terry Hopson; Sister, Teresa Gray known as "Recee", Cousins, Annette & Frank Greenwell, whom she aided in the truth, along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family, Latonya Ford and Tony Ford.
