Paula Anne Jenkins

Paula Anne Jenkins, age 50 of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 21, 1971 and was a life long Shelby County resident. Paula graduated from Shelby County High School class of 1989. After graduation, she devoted many hours in the education field. She then was a stay-at-home Mom for many years. Paula worked at Shelby county Dispatch and Kentucky State Police dispatch for a total of twelve years. After that she pursued a degree in Nursing and has been working at Frankfort Regional Hospital for the last 13 months. Paula is preceded in death by her father, Odell Tinsley; her grandparents, Ed and Rosa Phillips and Cecil and Ida Mae Phillips; and her sister, Kaye Shields.

Paula is survived by her husband, James "JJ" Jenkins; her mother, Carolyn Sue Reid (Ken); her three children, Amber, Megan (Andrew) and Dalton (Kelsey). She also leaves behind many grandchildren that brought an abundance of joy in her life, Aniyah, Eli, Ally, Brycen, Finn, Lily and Zeek; brothers, Scott Tinsley and David Johnson (Laura); sisters, Paula Fyffe (John), Valerie Shields, Joyce (Wilson), Stephanie Robinson (Larry), Sherri Coots (John) and Shawn Heilman (Bryan).

A gathering to celebrate Paula's life will be 4 to 7pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
