Joe Newton, 69, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2022.
Joe was loved by all who knew him and especially by his wife, Carla, and daughter, Jessica. He was a kind man who never spoke ill of others and had many friends from all periods of his life. He worked for many years as a CDL driver driving a concrete mixer before he retired several years ago. Joe was a man of faith and member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. He was also a big UofL Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan. Joe was someone that you could always count on for help. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and an incredibly supportive father. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. His family is comforted in knowing that Joe is now at peace with his wife and all his loved ones that have gone before him in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Newton; parents, Leo and Frances Newton; sisters, Ann Metts and CK Sargent; and brothers, Leo Newton, III, and Pike Newton.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Jessica Newton; sisters, Suddy Thomas (Steve), Pat Brown, Debbie Harrison, and Becky Browning (Ronnie); brothers, Jerry Newton (Joyce) and John Newton (Tammy); and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved tremendously.
Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Monday, March 21st at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A funeral mass will follow the next day at 11 am at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (1816 Rangeland Rd) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
