Becky Jo Cook

Becky Jo Cook, 58, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Becky loved cooking for everyone, and her home was always welcome to anyone. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and listening to country music. Her favorite time of the year was when she could spend time with family and friends in her swimming pool with a cold one. Above all of these things, her greatest love of all was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was born on October 22, 1963, in New Albany, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her father, Leon Kron; brother, Bobby Kron; son-in-law, Casey Becht; and the father of her children, Michael Cook, Sr.

Becky is survived by her children, Candas (Roderick) Becht, Michael Cook, Jr., Amanda (Jeremy) Cook, and Courtney (Damien) Griffin; mother, Sharon Kron; siblings, Tony (Jane) Kron, Kerry (Barb) Kron, and Kelly (Mark) Luskin; sister-in-law, Kim Kron; grandchildren, Mackenize, Brodee, Colt, Wyatt, Carson, Brady, Waylon, Davis, and 1 granddaughter on the way; and her significant other, James Clemons.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Wolfe Cemetery.
