Viola Tillman , 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022.
She was born on January 23, 1931 in Wetumpka, Alabama to the late Peter and Hattie Sherman. Viola was an active member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher, choir member, kitchen committee, trustee, and mother of the church.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Tillman, Sr; baby son, Thomas; son, Ernest Tillman.
Viola is survived by her children, Hattie Downs (Kenneth), Josie Adams, George Tillman, Jr. (Erika), Jacqueline T. Brittle, Connie Cager, Bonnie Tillman, Anthony Tillman, Ananias Tillman (Vickie), and Maurice Ritchie (Tara); brother, Henry Sherman; sisters, Alene Sherman and Millie Sherman; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Anchorage(11500 LaGrange Rd). Her Funeral Service follow at 1 pm, and she will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
