Elmer E. Dennison

Elmer E. Dennison, 83, of Fisherville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Elmer was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. From a young age Elmer found a passion for boxing, which he enjoyed with his childhood friend Cassius Clay. The passion for boxing continued well after graduating Louisville Male High School. He continued on to receive his Masters at University of Louisville College. After 40 years of service Elmer retired from Ford Motor Company. Elmer had also spent many years preaching in Brownsville Baptist Church. On top of all of this, Elmer owned and operated a very successful CPA Business. Elmer had many interests which included UofL sports, cooking spaghetti, traveling, his business, and his family.

He was born on October 3, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to Hershel and Stella (Cox) Dennison. He is preceded in death by his Father, Hershel Dennison, Mother, Stella Mae Dennison, Siblings, Charles Dennison, Red Dennison, Gladdis Dennison, and Inez Dennison.

Elmer is survived by his loving Wife of 34 years, Geraldine J. Dennison; Children, Christan L. (Lamar) Cook, Sandra (Rich) Dennison, Stephanie E. (George) Willis, and Ricky Dennison; Grandchildren, Justen Lewis, Brooke Vorbrink, Quentin Richardson Corey Bohannon, Kortney Bohannon, Samantha Bohannon, and Jordan Wilder; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Nephew, Charles Dale Dennison As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
