Mitchell Lee Sipes

Mitchell Lee Sipes, 78, passed from this life February 3, 2022, surrounded by his wife and children.
He graduated from Manual High School class of 1961 and studied at Bellarmine College and the University of Louisville. Mitch was a food broker for over 30 years.
"Mitch" is survived by his wife JoAnn and four children, Chris Sipes (Karen), Whitney Moody (Jon-Paul), Susan Grimm, and Allison McCombs (Steve). Mitch was loved deeply by his wife and children for his faithfulness and consistency. But as "Papaw" he was adored by his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren for his gentleness and willingness to get on the floor and participate in their play space. He lived the gospel of Jesus Christ to his family and his neighbors with gentle persuasions and kind service.
Mitch's life will be celebrated on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm at Southeast Christian's Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Road, Louisville, Ky 40299).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritans Purse.
