Melissa Sue (Caudill) Shirely

Melissa Sue (Caudill) Shirely, 48, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was a member of Heartland Nazarene Church, where she sang on the Praise Team. She graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School with a degree in dental hygiene and was currently employed at National On Demand.

She was born on January 23, 1974, in New Albany, Indiana, to Donna (Hulen) Bagshaw and the late Robert Caudill. In addition to her father, Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Asbury and Fannie Caudill and Vern and Jean Hulen.

Along with her mother, Melissa is survived by her husband, Timothy Shirely; siblings, David Caudill (Sherry) and Michelle Caudill; stepfather, Patrick Bagshaw; stepsister, Tonja Holland (Wesley); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
