George D. Fisher

George D. Fisher, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a proud Army veteran who retired after 21 faithful years of service to our country. He was a man of many occupations which include vault company, security, maintenance, and anything he could get into. He loved spending time with his family every chance he got. He was an avid cat lover who rescued three and fed ten others around his home. George will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor and pleasure of knowing him.

He was born on June 6, 1938 in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Ruth Sandy, his Father, Wife, Carolyn Fisher, Daughter, Tracy Fisher, and Brother, Charlie Fisher.

George is survived by his loving family, Ex-Wife, Kathy Fisher, Step-Daughter, Karen Reed, Grandson, Tim Reed, Granddaughter, Ashley Wallace, Granddaughter, Tracie Wallace, Granddaughter, Ruth Fisher, Half-Brother, Thomas Fisher as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in George's memory be made to Alleycat Advocates or Hosparus of Louisville.
