John Stirling

John Stirling, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandson. He was an avid fisherman and loved drag racing from an early age and loved his Pittsburgh Steelers. He retired from the L&N Railroad after four decades of faithful service. John will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on August 13, 1943 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to John and Margaret (Corrigan) Stirling. He is preceded in death by his Father, John Samuel Stirling, Mother, Margaret Stirling, and Son, Scott Stirling.

John is survived by his loving Wife of 19 years, Marian Stirling; Son, James Stirling; Grandson, Ryan Stirling; Siblings, Tom (Stacey) Stirling, Peggy Lee (Sam) McClurkin, Chris (Terry) Raymond, and Elizabeth (George) Hughes; Nieces and Nephews, John (Jenny) Stirling, Craig McClurkin, Matt (Bethany) Spencer, Becky Spencer, and Shari (William) Wells as well as a host of extended family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
