William Earnest Allen, Jr.

William "Bill" Earnest Allen, Jr., 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville.

He was born on April 9, 1959 in Fairfield, California to the late William and Betty (Morgan) Allen. He was graduate of Male High School. Bill was a Kentucky Colonel, something he was very proud of. He had work in maintenance for years and when he was young he was a volunteer fireman.

He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Robert Githens, Jr. Bill is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia L Allen; son, Mathew Allen; son, Brandon (Kayla) Allen; son, Michael (Angelsea) Allen; son, Bobby (Lindsey) Githens; daughter, Patricia (Brent) Thornton; 12 grandchildren, Emily Githens, Ryan Githens, Mya Githens, Jade Scott, Cruz Thornton, Cameron Thornton, Braydon Allen, Jaxson Allen, Braxton Allen, Hailey Allen, Will Allen, and Claire Allen; sister, Diane (Tom) Pitts; sister, Laurie Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.).
