Jonathan Simms

Jonathan Simms, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. Pops lived his life to the fullest and didn't let everyday stressors weary him. He was a loyal friend to anyone and never met a stranger. He had his own personal way of loving his kids.

He was born on January 25, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to Moses and Mary (Douglas) Simms. He is preceded in death by his Father, Moses Sylvester Simms, Mother, Mary Simms, Siblings, Lorenzo Simms, Dorothy Simms, Vera Simms, Sylvester Simms, and Inez Simms Jackson.

Jonathan is survived by his family, Sons, Jonathan Antonio Simms, Jamie (Michelle) Golden, Michael (Cheryl) Simms, and Jimmy (Chanel) Simms; Grandchildren, Teveon, Grant, Jimmy Jr., Garrett, Marquis, and Derell; Great-Grandchildren, Zaire and Zola as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
