Dennis Kevin Hammons

Dennis Kevin Hammons was born on March 16, 1956, to the late Helen Marie Hammons Jeffries and Alvin York Hammons. He was retired from Kroger. His passions were playing guitar and singing. Dennis was also an avid UK basketball fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Hammons.
Dennis is survived by his children, Robert (Denise) Hammons, Jeremy (Cara Ann) Hammons, Elizabeth (Eric) Scherer and Kayla Hammons; stepchildren, Toni (Chris) Vance, Tyson (Tuesday Dorr) Raymer and Trista Raymer; his grandchildren, Myles Hammons, Sydney Vance and Sawyer Scherer and his siblings, David (Patricia) Hammons, Michael (Toni) Rankin and Linda Wibbels.
Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Dennis's life will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, beginning at 1pm at the funeral home.
Dennis will be laid to rest at Garnettsville Cemetery, Hwy 1638, Brandenburg, KY.
