Harold Gene Gordon

Harold Gene Gordon, 81, of Mt. Washington, KY passed away on Friday January 7, 2022. He was born on December 20, 1940, the son of Dotson and Eugenia Gordon. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Nancy Gordon Lanham, Brenda Gordon Howard and Donna Sue Gordon Glass. He graduated from Old Kentucky Home HS in Bardstown and cherished the Class of 1959 all his life. He retired from Jim Beam Brands as a shipping supervisor and made lifelong friends there too.

Harold was an avid golfer, started the Little League baseball program in Mt. Washington, coached the Colts football for years and helped with the Bullitt East HS Golf Team. He loved helping kids, and his golfing buddies and former players all kept in touch.

Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janie Ann Downs Gordon; their three children, James Scott (Lisa), Kelly Gordon Foster (Frankie) and Bryan Stewart (Melissa); his beloved grandchildren, Indigo, Rylan, Paxton and Ainsley; and his cat, ABC. Also surviving are his siblings, Tom, Jim, Bill, Potty, Roy and Lisa Gordon Poole.

Everyone knew that Harold loved to mow grass and dreamed of one day winning the lottery. Harold loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Per his wishes, cremation was chosen with no services.
