Carl Fields

Carl Fields, age 83, husband of Betty Fields went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky. Carl was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 31, 1938. He served as an Airman in the United States Air Force, was employed by Sears, and retired from Conagra Foods. Carl loved God, his wife Betty of 60 years, and his children and grandchildren. Carl also loved America, The Smokey Mountains, and his favorite all-time team the Kentucky Wildcats. Carl will always be known as a loving, admirable, thoughtful, and hard-working man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will forever be our sunshine. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lillian Fields; and several brothers.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Betty, he was a loving father to his children, Carla Fields and Troy Fields; he is a loving father-in-law to Shirl Fields; he is loving Pawpaw to his grandson, Trevor Fields and his wife Ruby Fields; his granddaughter, Cora Fields; and his great-granddaughters, Jolee and June Fields. He is a loving brother to his twin sister, Carleen Young. He is also a loving friend and father figure to long-time family friend, Charles Hernandez. Carl is survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends..

While our hearts are broken, our faith is not. We are rejoicing in the fact that he now rests in the arms of the Father.

Services are private.
