Linda L. Smith, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021.
She was born on April 27, 1943 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Charles and Ruby (Rucker) Carroll. She attended high school at Christian County in Hopkinsville, KY. She attended Murray State College and received her degree in Nursing in Louisville. She was a Pharmaceutical Rep for 14 years and worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. She loved to play golf, she volunteered at Life Bridge with Southeast Christian Church, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Steve Smith; daughter, Traci (Susan Ryan) Thompson; daughter, Kristine Pettit; step-daughter, Shannon Hunt; step-daughter, Shelley (Toby) Hatfield; 7 grandchildren, Willa Pettit, Max Thompson, Isabel Thompson, Hailey Hunt, Emily Hunt, Colin Hatfield, Lacey Hatfield; sister-in-law, Tanya Newton.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.).
The family requests that contributions in Linda's memory be made to Alzheimer's Association of Louisville.
